    Description

Single glass partitions at Nikhef Amsterdam.

On the ground floor, with a height of over 3.6 meters, this consulting room is located. The room is separated from the hall by a glass partition model QbiQ iQ Single 24 equipped with 8.8.a.2 glass with a thickness of 16.76 mm with an acoustic foil. By applying this extra thick glass, it was possible to build this glass partition without the need for horizontal sections. The glass panels have a height of 3630 mm and are interconnected with a fully transparent 0 joint. This ensures optimal transparency.

    Extra high glass partitions
The glass wall around the first floor has a height of almost 4 meters. In itself, this is not so unusual. We can also make glass walls as high as 7 meters. What is special is that the glass panels are in one piece. So in the 3630 mm high wall, no horizontal partition line is used. By applying over 16 mm thick glass, sufficient strength is obtained to create a stable glass wall.

    90 degree angle
The 90 degree angle, on the front left of the picture, is completely transparent. No sight obstructing upright is required. The glass panels of the converging walls are connected here with a transparent tape.

    Door unit
The door unit, with frame DK58-24, has a height of 2.9 meters. The door is type KDEC and is equipped with 12.76 mm acoustic laminated glass and a trap door.

All profiles are coated in the color RAL9004 with a glose of 70%. Black door handles of the Cecil type complete the look.
