MVRDV House Rotterdam

MVRDV’s 2,400 m2 interior renovation for their offices in Rotterdam, with 150 work spaces, had at its core the idea to capture and enhance their DNA in what is now called the MVRDV House. The spaces were build on the progress made in previous offices, learned from how the team inhabited and worked in the previous building and translated these into new, more accommodating and productive spaces.

Years ago, around 2010, the City Housing Department Stadswonen of the Municipality of Rotterdam settled here. QbiQ built the glass system walls and glass facades for the former inhabitants. Since 2016, MVRDV Architect has its home on the Achterklooster. The entire interior has been replaced to facilitate the MVRDV House, except for the beautiful glass walls. The (aesthetics of the) partitions fitted the designwishes of the new users of the building.

Go back in time and see here the interior in the year 2010 when Stadswonen was housed in the building.
