Description

Double glass partitions with high acoustic values at "Huis van de Samenleving" in Deurne, the Netherlands.

On the ground floor, various consultation rooms have been created suitable for privacy-sensitive conversations. The consultation rooms are built with double-glazed partition walls of the iQ Structural type. This partition wall is made aluminum and of acoustic laminated glass of 12.76 mm thick.

Structure of the wall

The iQ Structural 100 is a glass partition wall with a thickness of 100 mm and double glazing. The glass panels are interconnected with a so-called 0-joint, which means that no vertical uprights are required. The corners are full glass and no uprights are needed here either.

The ceiling, floor and wall profiles each have an equal height of only 33 mm all around. This creates a calm and balanced image.

Doors and frames

The doors are of the type KDD57D which are placed in the door frame DKR100D. This combination is equipped with double stop and double rubbers. There is also a drop sill under the door. All this ensures optimal sound insulation and optimal transparency.

A vertical service panel has been placed next to the door as an extra. This panel can be used, among other things, to mount a touch panel1 for a room booking system.

6.6.a.2 Glass

The glass used is made up of two layers of glass with an acoustic foil in between. This film is specially designed to keep noise transmission to a minimum. Each glass panel has a thickness of 12.76 mm. Each section consists of two of these glass panels with a 72 mm air cavity in between.

Color

All profiles are coated in the color RAL7024, graphite grey.
